We used recent data from the National Clandestine Laboratory Seizure System compiled by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to determine the top 10 meth states in the U.S. Missouri claims the title of America’s meth production capital as of 2019, hosting 27.6 meth labs per 100,000 residents.2 The availability of methamphetamine has increased since 2012, resulting in a decline in street value. On the issue of rehabilitation centres, the Shadow Minister derided the lack of action taken, saying, “At the moment what we are seeing is all of those rehabilitation programs right across the community are overwhelmed”.
