Britain rarely allowed filming inside the Foreign Secretary’s office

In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler lands herself in an unlikely high-profile job with geographic implications for her marriage and her political future.. Producers American & The British government allowed them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the most recent American embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Credit for any film or screen production, especially an American one.
It doesn’t have a strong tone like other similar shows
One location that was not available was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying London’s largest residential plot (11 acres) other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming and they are all puzzling to some degree. Their dialogue is fast-paced and engaging, and the story unfolds along confusing political lines.
It feels similar to Night Agent but better
I want to slightly compare it to House of Cards but it doesn’t quite fit the bill. It has a hint of a sequel, but again no real merit. I see reviews complaining about lead and her disheveled appearance and abrasive behavior, but that’s her piercing thing!
She is good at her job, so no one talks about her decorations
"You want people who don’t *want* to be in power.".Kate focuses on mission and purpose on which people’s lives hang in the balance. What she wears, how she looks, and even when she sleeps is secondary to the primary mission. I thought her style suited the narrative well, and it was a refreshing change of pace.
Really hope we see an s2
The best part of the show is the relationship they all have with each other. It’s rare that I like all the characters in a show, but this one did it for me.
